Clarity and toughness

PETG supports tough clear forms, PET is central to clear packaging, and PVC offers versatile forming and print routes. Polycarbonate can serve demanding covers but needs tighter heat control.

Draw depth and wall distribution

Material choice cannot compensate for impossible geometry. Draft, radii, plug assist and starting thickness all influence final wall distribution.

Secondary operations and compliance

Trimming, printing, bonding, sealing, food contact and recycled content can change the shortlist. Evaluate the complete production route before tool release.
