Project logic
ONE PLASTIC supplies black PETG and GAG plastic substrate for record-cutting studios and blank distributors. It can be delivered as full sheet, square blanks or pre-cut 7, 10 and 12 inch round discs with a specified center hole. These are unrecorded material blanks only: ONE PLASTIC does not provide audio mastering, groove cutting, playback testing or record pressing on this page.
ONE PLASTIC manufactures and cuts the plastic substrate. The delivered disc has no recorded program and no grooves. Audio preparation, mastering, groove cutting, cutting-stylus setup, swarf removal, playback testing and any pressing process remain with the record-cutting studio or its production partner. Using terms such as record blank or dubplate blank describes the buyer's intended use; it does not mean ONE PLASTIC supplies a finished playable record.
Cutting studios use different lathes, styli, heat, suction and signal settings. ONE PLASTIC can supply black PETG and review GAG options, but it does not claim one construction will produce the same audio result on every system. Buyers should test representative blanks in their own process before confirming a repeat specification. Record the material, thickness, surface and dimensional requirements from the approved blank rather than relying only on a product name.
ONE PLASTIC publishes 7, 10 and 12 inch round formats and PETG thickness options of 0.5, 0.7, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mm. Diameter follows the desired format, while thickness affects rigidity, handling and the studio's setup. A studio may prefer different combinations for tests, picture-disc projects or final short runs. State both values in millimeters as well as the familiar inch format to avoid ambiguity.
The published standard center-hole option is 7.14 mm (9/32 inch), with custom dimensions reviewed from a drawing. The buyer should confirm spindle fit, desired tolerance and whether a label area or other concentric feature matters. Center position influences how the blank rotates on the studio's equipment, so hole diameter and location are inspection points. ONE PLASTIC machines the hole but does not validate playback eccentricity after groove cutting.
A cutting studio needs a blank that arrives flat, clean and cosmetically protected. Inspection therefore focuses on sheet thickness, round diameter, center-hole position, flat support, edge condition and visible surface damage. These checks confirm the supplied substrate; they do not replace the studio's cutting and audio test. Glossy faces should remain separated during handling because rubbing can mark the blank before it reaches the lathe.
Full sheet gives the buyer control of diameter and nesting. Square blanks remove some sheet-conversion work while leaving final circular cutting to the studio. Pre-cut round discs with center holes reduce preparation and can arrive in the 7, 10 or 12 inch format. The quote should state which form is required, quantity by size and thickness, edge expectation, hole and packing method. This keeps material supply separate from any later groove-cutting service.
Round blanks should be interleaved, supported flat and restrained so edges do not strike adjacent discs. Bundle count and carton weight should allow safe studio handling. Surface protection must be removable without contaminating the blank. Labels should identify material, diameter, thickness, center hole, quantity and batch without touching the recording face. Custom shipping or studio packs can be reviewed when the buyer explains the unpacking and storage process.
Send the preferred material, diameter, thickness, center-hole diameter and tolerance, quantity by size, surface and edge expectation, delivery form, sample need, packing and destination. Describe the studio's current blank if this is a replacement program, but do not send audio masters because ONE PLASTIC is not providing a recording service. The buyer should perform its own lathe-cut and playback approval before repeat ordering.
